i ve seen this card up on ebay before its worth about 25cents and is from around 96' i cant imagine anyone buying it for 4 bucks

I'm pretty sure that card is from around 1990 or so , when the hockey card market was saturated with Pro Set, completely devalueing the cards. Cool card though. What a scammer the seller is though . "A bargain for the era. See my other cards from the era as well. " Let's see... a completely over produced card from the early 90's with a picture from the 50's. Annoying what people will say and do to make a buck.

I believe it's the 1991 Pro Set edition, I have a few laying around somewhere. You're right Mark, Pro Set over-saturated the market and the whole industry went down from there. But on the bright side, if there weren't so many available, who knows, we may not have a song called Fifty Mission Cap today. That would sure suck!
Hey, I've got that hockey card and ya know what? It's not about the money. It's just cool to own because Gordie sings about it. Hip fans are probably the only one's who truely appreciate it.

I went up to the Flea Market up here about 2 years ago and bought every pack of Pro Set I could find. Only cost about 10 bucks for about 50. Got 5 of the cards and handed them out to all my friends. Of course I had to keep one for myself snugly tucked under the inside of my own 50 mission cap.

I just noticed that the origina post was by "Hebsy65", and it happened to be his first post. So I checked out the auction and confirmed my suspicions, Hebsy65 is the seller too... (GASP).
