any rumors as to how the hip are going to go about touring?? maybe a handful of dates and then off for a european leg?? followed by a late summer/fall of the canada and the u.s.?? hopefully they'll do the hip club again and have those lucky special shows just after the album is released.
just wondering......

Hey Phil,
I'm hearing rumours about the Sierra High festival near San Fran. They played it back in '98, I've heard it was a blast. And given the success of the 2002 shows, I'm sure they'll be some more Molson Amphitheatre gigs in late summer as well. Here's hoping for a return trip to the House of Blues.
I would love to see the Hip do a huge cross Canada tour like Great Big Sea did in 2002.

Not alot of huge gigs, Just a good mix of big and small venues.
But I am guessing the Hip will do the same type of tour as they did in 2002. I just hope they play a few more east coast gigs this year. When I was live in Halifax they only played on 2 gigs all year in the east.
Lance, don't tempt me with the thought of The Hip playing a show in Guelph...

hock: ....anyone living in a semi-sized town would agree, seeing them in your "home"town would be great. I always hoped they would bring back the Camp Trillium gigs as they had in '98. Smaller shows in smaller towns...
And I doubt we'll see them at the Molson Amphitheatre this summer, only because I've seen Amphitheatre promos everywhere, and you'd think their summer line-up is set...but hopefully I'll eat my words.
i have a two shows in chicago penciled in already. also, i want to do the wantaga {sp?} beach show in july. then maybe buffalo, cleveland, nyc,
ahhh hell, i'd keep listing cities all day if my wallet could keep up with my mouth.
High Sierra would be killer.

Is this Phil from AMTH?
If so, welcome in! Casey & Stephen D. have made the trek over.
Hipbase is gaining some converts from AMTH!
Looks like Whorella will be talking to herself pretty soon (some say she already is).

Hey! Casey and Whorella are expecting their first child shortly, so I'd expect you to lay off the Whorella cracks thank you!
i never understood the whole Whorella thing. what the hell is her story? is she as psycho as she is in her posts?

Really? Damn. I can't believe she didn't tell me. And how the hell did you find out before me?? So much for "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas."
yep......i made the jump. this is far better without all the wacky stuff.
i hadn't seen any posts from casey as of late. whorella just went on and on and then started attracting people who understood all the stuff she was writing. next thing you know people are writing posts that could pass for short books. finding good hip material came down to seeing what stephen and casey posted. but i keep an eye on that one too.{amth}

damn this posts reminded me of thehip.org and damn do i miss that site

Hey Phil,
Growing up in T.O. we got tons of Buffalo TV. The Eerie county fair, Wegmans, Irv Wienstein and the like... Recently, the affiliates switched to Detroit channels over advertising "doubel dipping" squabbles, so we in Ontario are forced to go without our GBA fix... But I've always wondered: Is there a South Tonawanda? And where in relation to Niagara Falls are these mysterious places?
ahhh yes.......the mysterious tonawandas. i guess tonawanda won the coin toss over who had to use a direction in front of tonawanda as there is only tonawanda and north tonawanda. we are bitter enemies and seperated by the muddy erie canal. NT as we locals call our fair tax infested city is within 10 miles of the falls. i could ride my bike{pedal} and jump in the falls within 45 minutes but i have a flat tire.
{and the water is still too cold}. commmander tom was the big show when i was young but i think thats a bit before your time.
hey!!! i'm rooting on ottawa tonight. those leafs fans can be nightmares at sabres games and the sens have 3 former sabres if you include muckler.
