I actually have a sweet photograph of that gargoyle in real life. It has the gargoyle in the foreground with Paris, France in the background. The gargoyle sits atop the Notre Dame.

I wonder if it's the same gargoyle from R.E.M.'s Chronic Town cover? He certainly does seem to get around...
