So, I've been blistfully unaware until 5 minutes ago that there was another song out there that goes by the title "Wild Mountain Honey"

This new radio station here in Calgary is playing some of the more obscure tracks from great albums and this one was just played. Coincedentaly (sp?) the Hips 50 Mission Cap just followed it up.

Anway, here are the lyrics from the Steve Miller song "Wild Mountain Honey"

Ooh, mama
Well look what's been done
You can only see the stars
After a setting sun

You run for the money
You don't even know about wild mountain honey

Come on mama
Heal this lonesome man
Grow the tree of wholeness
In this desert land

Come on children
Now learn how to run
By heaven, the stars, the moon and the sun

Come on papa
Your end is the means
Don't trade your love and goodness
For the golden machine

You run for the money
You don't even know about wild mountain honey
I knew it, do I get any points for that? Wink
I shall assign 3 points for that Beat. Wink
I know this song also. Good early material from Steve Miller. What I remember most about it was it was raw and unpolished and you could hear every breath he took, very clearly, in between each line. It was almost annoying by the end of the song. Good lyrics and I still like the song despite the breathing.

I just ran across this shirt on Youtube - a little girly to be worn by most Hipbase male members - but I like it.

its okay Chris everyone has a "michael phelps" moment problem is you got caught sport.

Wild Mountain Honey is on the Steve Miller Band greatest hits album, one of the least "popular" songs on that disc. Everytime I hear the Hip song I think of the Steve Miller song b/c of the title.
