I was pulling for Last American Exit to win.
Whoever is voting for Scared this early is going to find themselves having to do it at least 5 or 6 more times. Scared is a final four song.
New Orleans is fantastic...i don't get what the kids also don't get
how many times do i need to vote for that monstrosity that is The Depression Suite.
Same, every round so far.
Here's where the Mississippi quits.

I totally agree
Sad NOIB is going out, far too soon imho. It's a beautiful song that is severely underrated, as is most of IBE. "Your smile is fading a bit, so I ration it, don't think about it" is such a powerful line, and meshes so well with the music. I could listen to that song all day long and is up there with the best of the bronze medalists. I'd put it up against Scared, Flamenco, or Pigeon Camera any day of the week.

On another note, there are some fantastic songs on this list! Seriously, Poets was only the third best song from PP, that's crazy (although I would stand by the championship round for that album, giving the nod to Escape over Penguin, though). The Hip have an incredible wealth of great material.

IBE is a great album but comparing NOIB to Scared and Flamenco is crazy talk. I don't think NOIB has enough going on...it's primarily a GD song...Scared and Flamenco are much more interesting, musically.

Agreed...seeing the list of 3's is impactful...like, wow, the band made a crapload of good music. I wanted Escape to win as well, but I'm ok with Penguin as it is a great song and I think that might be my favourite back to back in the catalogue.
