Vote for the song you believe to be the weakest on Man Man Machine Poem and after 48 hours, we will remove the two songs that have the most votes. As before, a song must have at least 10% of the vote in order to be removed otherwise it will carry forward into the following round.

The poll will end Thursday at 9:08am Eastern.

Happy voting!

Don't let "Hot Mic" go down in the first round! At the very least "Great Soul" and "Man" are more deserving of early votes.
Machine is my horse here. I'll be surprised if it gets one vote before the final two. There's a direct correlation between Sinclair and song goodness. Science.

Did you a solid and went with Ocean Next instead of Hot Mic. Ocean is a good song, but its sequencing seems odd...feels like more of a palette cleanser.

LOVE the Man/Machine bookend. Sure, Man as a single doesn't work, but in terms of the album it's essential.
Sorry Gord, nothing is better than sex or salt n vinegar chips. Ocean next!

What about.... sex AND salt and vinegar chips?!

So many worthy songs to go out this round, but Man isn't one of them...voted TAF, but Sarnia and Great Soul are deserving as well. Is there really a point to this one, I mean we all know Machine is going to be the champion?!
I really believe TAF is being punished for the fact that it was released as a single, and is heard as disappointing in that context. It is a really excellent little track - great frisson between the vocals and guitars, especially in the 'balloon' part - dealing with the challenge of remaining creatively powerful with the passage of time (not unlike 'The Kids Don't Get It' thematically). It just wasn't 'single' material. No way is it one of the weakest cuts on the record, however.
Voted Man for this round. I dig it, but more as a cool sonic experiment than a song. The other tunes on the album are much stronger.
Get rid of the self -- vote for Man.

Eat 'em up in two gulps -- vote for Man.

Wait to be excited -- vote for Man.

Be what you hate; don't understand -- vote for Man.

Man is awesome. The whole album is awesome. But something has to go in the first round, and it's not Great Soul. And it Sure as Sh*t ain't Tired as F*ck. And the people voting for Ocean Next and Hot Mic are beyond the pale. Vote for Man.

How, how, how can anyone vote for 'Ocean Next?' Are these AC Dc fans or what? Confusedcratch: Confusedcratch: Confusedcratch:
I really like “Man” a lot, personally.

The problem for me with that song is that it suffers in comparison to it's womb-mate, 'Machine'. At times it feels like a first draft of 'Machine'.
I love TAF, would hate to see it go out in round 1!
Can't believe Hot Mic is going out in round 1...it's a solid song on album short of both songs, and good songs.
