I finally saw Long Time Running. I chose to wait for the theatre run here in Buffalo and I'm glad I did.

That said, I avoided all threads and discussion spoilers as best I could. Now that I have seen it, I feel I missed out.

So, out of curiosity/hope for discussion- did anything said or shown stand out or surprise anyone?
His (Gord's) secret love of the BeeGee's was a bit of a surprise, otherwise it was what I expected.
I wasn't expecting to be in it.

True, but I think we all have a guilty pleasure when it comes to music.

But otherwise, when one of the doctors was talking and mentioned that Gord had the option between a longer life expectancy, but with a much lower quality of life or what he ultimately decided. What a difficult decision to have had to have made
I have it recorded on my PVR. I have not been able to summon the fortitude to watch it. There is never a quiet enough time with enough mental energy to watch one last time the dance and its disappearance.
I guess it wasn't really unexpected as we all knew it prior to the documentary, but I am still in shock how Gord could not remember a single album, a single song, a single word to a song, but yet was able to pull this tour off.

Watching him struggle with "Escape is At Hand" (which I thought was a odd place to start with, you would have thought it would have been a true warhorse that he has sang thousands of times to start), was heartbreaking. Hearing Billy Ray mention that he couldn't remember the name of "Music At Work" (even after just finishing it and literally singing it 50 times in the chorus), was heartbreaking.

But yet he pulled it of, its just astonishing to me.
i was semi aware of gord's bravery on this last tour but had no idea of the actual scope of it. as others have mentioned here.

to do what he had to do, to make that last tour happen, for his band, his family and us. wow x10.
most people would want to curl up in a ball and cry quietly but he went all in++
made me way more proud and i was already proud. the word hero comes to my mind.
