Listening to the radio driving into work this morning, they were talking with that Hollywood reporter/rumour guy (can't remember his name). Anyways, he said rumour is already going around about making a movie of Gord's life, apparently there are talks of casting both a younger and older actor for different stages in his life.

Not sure how true it will end up being, but even if its not, that's a bit of an interesting question. I don't know who would be a good fit if they ever did it? Maybe its because they were in One Week together, but I could see Joshua Jackson not being a bad fit for the older Gord.

Who knows the truth behind it, just thought it was an interesting question on who would be a good fit to play Gord.
I understand the allure , It would make a great storyline

however... I can't envision seeing anyone trying to portray that role and pull it off

Then again I'm wrong more than I'm right most times
I can't imagine any of the boys signing off on that.... at least not for a while
The modern-day Elvis impersonators fronting the deluge of Hip cover bands are enrolling in acting school at this news.

Knowing the way the boys are I don't expect to hear much of anything for awhile. Besides any notions of movies, books..etc will come off as cashing in off the tragedy, they're too classy for that garbage.

Sinclair and Robbie are schedule to play at Miss Emily's album launch next weekend. I'd be very surprised if this went forward.
Gord Downie was the first Gord Downie impersonator, & I think he'll always be the best & only one for me.

I'll bet they still show up for that. Music is what they do, and I would imagine that getting out and playing a gig with friends would probably be quite therapeutic for them right now.

And there's a Campfire Liars gig tonight.

That was cancelled around 11am Wednesday - they're rescheduling for the spring.
