Wasn't that essentially what happened with Zeppelin and CODA?
I enjoy Coda!

I've always thought of Coke Machine Glow being the proper companion record there. Look at how many of the Phantom Power tour "rants" made up that record (Starpainters, SF Song, Neverending Present, Heartache, Blackflies, Lofty Pines, Elaborate, Every Irrelevance and Insomniacs were there since 1998 or before; Trick Rider, Canada Geese and Chancellor came late 99).

Coke Machine Glow is some of Downie's finest wok.

When Coke Machine Glow gets a proper vinyl release, I hope more people take a look at it. It is criminally under appreciated. 2001 was such a strong year for music, and that album holds up against the traditionally held "best ofs" from that time.
Totally agree. It was great album for sure. Would love a vinyl release.

I think if the did an outtakes type album and had some of the proceeds go his Gords foundation it would be quite fitting. That way, support a great cause and just get a collection of songs not for critical review but more for reflection.

Montreal would have to be on it!

Montreal is such a great song. There must be a proper studio version of it sitting around somewhere in their vaults.
I'd love a proper recording of Blonde Solid, too.

Bumblebee was a PP outtake.
Thanks Captain Obvious Big Grin ...and Dante is a DFN one.

Meant that is a possible future release...outtakes...
Ultra Mundane is still one of my favorite 'unreleased' tracks. I'm sure there is shelves full of near release worthy stuff.
I know for sure CMG LP is happening...

Awesome news indeed! Hopefully The Grand Bounce and Battle of the Nudes will get the wax treatment as well.

Grand Bounce is already vinylized, but hard to obtain right now.
