I don't want to put out false hopes but, I do know that 2 dates in buffalo had been talked about prior to the tour. My contact at the building to me, "the last show is only last until the next show!" Many issues to iron out besides of course Gords health. Sabres season is the other big one. To do 2 days with no load out requires tying up the building for 4-5 days.
I was hoping beyond hope for a Buffalo show prior to and even up to seeing the them this tour. Now I can't imagine anything topping my experience at my last show, it was beyond words.
Just my $.02
I thought the rumours were possible.
And then Gord said 'Have a nice life'. And in that moment, I thought the rumours were b.s.

Listening to Kingston audio a few minutes ago, thought the same thing..
I know it shouldn't matter and he should play as long as he's capable and willing to. But does anyone else think it would just be sort of weird to play a couple Buffalo shows (or other random dates), and have those be the last shows? Kingston just felt like such a proper finale and, in the end, all of Canada did get to see a show, and were there in spirit. I guess my question in regards to more shows is basically, "why?"
Gord should rest, spend time with his family, and record some more music if inspiration strikes. But otherwise, I think he's said his goodbyes in an incredible way through this short Canadian tour.
If you watch the brilliant end of Grace Too from Saturday night, imo, it looks like that was it.
Prior to the Kingston show I was firmly in the "this isn't the end" camp. But how could you possibly top that?

That is not in any way any sort of concern. Any canadian can get very good travel insurance for 40 bucks, let alone a rich celebrity like him.

Agree - of course if the band wants to tour that is a different matter - especially Gord - he should do whatever the hell he wants - but he didnt look great that last show and on anemotional level just looked completely spent...Grace Too looked like a man that had zero left in the tank and his breaking down was the weight of all hes going through and will be going through coming to a head.... it felt final...how can you beat addressing the leader of your nation in front of a national audience in the town where it all started....the other shows would seem like a big emotional letdown...
I hope he lives a long time and more shows can be done, but to throw two buffalo dates in just seems weird...it isnt like a ton of buffalo fans didnt come to hamilton, toronto or beyond...
The touring is over
They went out on a higher note than any band in history I'd say.

The reasoning is simple, play the last show of the MMP tour in Kingston,
in case we cant play anymore. So yeah, there wont be any random type shows in the near future you can bet on that.
I suspect he's due for a long rest, family time and some follow up with the doctors. Things may go quiet for awhile but I doubt they would leave us hanging for months on end.
Its a waiting game now. Time will tell.
I just hope he stays healthy for a long time for his and his family's sake and not ours.

Agree fully, if that was it I'll be more than satisfied, I got well over 30 shows since 95 under my belt, enough memories to write a book and a final tour for the ages. And if MMP is the last album that's fine too, its outstanding, I love it more everyday.
I don't want it to end, but my soul is prepared if it is.
According to Dr. Perry, the (original released) dates and venues were planned/booked PRIOR to Gord's diagnosis. It just happened that Kingston was slated as the last stop..
Geez this feels like reading the rush forum right after r40.
A person I can't say the name of, because it's not something he's supposed to share, said that two dates are being held at first Niagara center, that it's pending the band and obviously Gord's health, and it would be announced next month.
I know that saying that with those stipulations Is basically saying nothing at all, so choose to believe it or not, it's completely up to you.
This thread has gotten some good replies that would fit better on another thread I started about would fans feel if this wasn't the end.

Agreed. I think they are done as a touring band. Of course, I want them to release more albums as long as Gord is doing well. But if it means more time with his family, then I sincerely want them to quit. I hope he beats the odds.
