So, I've got one from last night.....what others do you have that Gord said to all of us, his fans.

No, last nights words were not "strange" at all. (8/12/16)
The 'disappears' line, I don't remember right now exactly but it it was perfect (of course)
He was refering to the crowd/performance how each night was unique and it is never repeated again.
I have to go listen to it again now.

Like a lot of what Gord says, his words, "And it just disappears. It just disappears. And that's okay too.", can be interpreted many ways - that video definitely sheds light on what he means by disappearing. I also like to think that he's really talking to himself here. Just imagine standing there on stage with 25000 people screaming their love and admiration to you. Minutes of sustained roar, of positive energy projected right at you. Then, he turns, walks off stage to small, quiet room away from the crowd...and he's virtually alone, and there's silence. It disappears. I can't imagine that feeling.

* - I assume he meant cellphones, cameras etc
This thread slays me.
What I love about Gord & the band is the way their creativity foments speculation, just by the richness of their work, the layers of meaning, all the double-backs of irony & the hundred undercurrents & references. I enjoy this site because people are willing to engage in that speculation. And respect & appreciate the speculation of others.
This speculation about his final words: it's got "rosebud" written all over it lol. It makes me happy even under these terrible circumstances because so long as we continue speculating & wanting to speculate, their work remains vivid & alive. Tho, as Gord is obviously reminding us &/or himself, at the same time it's all sorta constantly...disappearing. "When are you thinking of disappearing?"

Still tearing up the morning after.
Well from the 300's it was difficult to hear, and see actually. However, I can tell you that to me Gord appeared quite sad at the end of ABAC when he said "and that's ok too". I saw a bottom lip curl and a man struck by a moment. I cannot speculate what exactly it was about, but I must say I was reassured with those words that he will be ok.
At Edmonton #1 it was:
"Take care of each other. Right? Right? RIGHT?"
