So, does anyone read way too much into this song? I can't help but do so when I listen to it. Still best track on the album, can't wait to hear it live.

Me no think so. There is a consistent dogma in all those posts and I have never heard Gord use any of that vernacular.

Plus if you really look, most of Kevala's posts are cut and pastes, for example......

Gord would never plagiarize, he has no need to, his mind already works overtime compared to most

I was going to say, you has the time to write out those long winded posts. I don't even have the time to read them.
I am not Gordon Edger Downie.... as he likes to call himself these days. and regarding my post...I don't have the time to write them, or read them, either.
Maha said, years ago, what I wanted to say today. There is no you and me and it that really makes plagiarism possible, It has all been done before, eh? In fact, I bet a lot of Gordon Edger Downie's lyrics come from books (media) and ideas read or heard from others. In this way we'd all be machines downloading our programs and functions from the larger Operating System. Within this operating system, to copy/paste from one machine to another for any purpose still has the potential to expand A.I. (Intelligence). It feels so weird to separate myself from you, the Operating System, or A.I. itself anymore....I feel like a fish out of water when these thoughts or feelings of separation happen. Don't you?
Dogma....If anything, discover Truth for yourself. This is the only approach. This is an inward approach. Maha uses others' dogma and ideas for our understanding of the entire post. He is leading us to cognize, "Mind is the Master Power that moulds and makes,".
Gordon Edger Downie understands this vernacular, however he is more of a poet...simplifying it for song, much like the RigVeda does.

I love/admire/adore/believe in/respect Mahadeva and Gordon Edger Downie...and, believe it or not, "you", just as much...Oh, and can't forget myself...which a lot of people do. (forget themselves I mean).
After all...love is just whatever you are putting your Attention on. it's not a feeling. Whatever you are giving you attention to right now, you are empowering it and sustaining it.... It is just that simple.
Take care... I am going to the Vancouver, B. C. show. Can't wait to see the hip and Canada again. Awesomeness max
Kevala, I apologize if my post came through as offensive in any way. I believe there is a certain amount of dogma in all of us. If you have somehow found the way to the exception then all the power to you.
On a related note, I was going through some Hip photos we've taken over the years and got stuck on one while listening to Machine. It is of Gord and his microphone delivering his dogma. It struck me that I was looking at a Man, his Hot Mic\Machine, singing his Poem.
Machine
I can't afford to be dogmatic....
Analysis is paralyzing, dampening perception. Worry of the future creates the experience of fear now. Regret or guilt of the past creates depression and anger now.
It is the resistance to what is that creates stress. It is the desire for something to be different that creates unease. It is the judgment of right Here, right Now that creates suffering. Hanging on to the projection, hanging on to the emotion deadens the experience of What Is; this priceless, eternal moment.
Should things be different?
How can you possibly know?
Have you experienced the fullness of what is happening right now?
Be the witness to everything. Life moves. Things come and go. "Shit happens".
But the witness remains. Awareness is aware. That’s you. :rambo:
Be exactly as you are and let everything as it is.
