I was talking about this with my buddy and we couldn't decide if they would go with an old standby or if they'd go off the page with something that they really love playing but might be a little more obscure.

I'm thinking it'll be the latter...I'm going Little Bones.

Maybe we can do some kind of 50/50 fundraiser where you kick in $5 or $10 for a guess and whoever gets it right goes into a draw for 50% of the pot and the other half goes to Gord's Cancer fund. Could be fun...just a thought.
What about the opener? I've always looked forward to the opener. World possessed is my guess . And I think it's gonna be a good choice.

I agree, World Possessed would be a perfect opener. But for the final show in Kingston I think you gotta go with the greatest set opener of all time: Grace, Too.
If I had to guess, I think I could see them closing with "Music @ Work". Maybe not their biggest hit, but a hit nonetheless and very fitting. Their music will forever be at work. Plus I think that album has a soft spot for the band personally.

If I had another guess I'd say that "Blow at High Dough" would be a safe bet. Being that was their first major single release would kind of be fitting too.

I'll be shocked if Kingston doesn't open with Grace, Too/Fully Completely.

"It can't be Kingston Every Night"
/with its la la ooohhh oooowooooowoooos and oh yeahs
I think, if this is the end or at least the last show in Kingston, they go out with Blow. They way they jam out that end live, Gord dancing, thank you music lovers, could not be a better way to finish. Unless there's some further announcement, I think we'll all be reading a lot into that final song to try and decide if that's truly the end.

Whatever that last song is...weird, there seems to be a rain cloud over my face inside the arena...or maybe it's my allergies acting up...I think I have something in my eye...look away, look away.
If they play Get Back Again at any point in Kingston I'm going to bawl.
Was talking about this last week with a friend and fellow Hip fanatic. I said Scared would be a perfect closer for the last show. The right mix of fan favorite and lyrical meaning. Can't you just picture Gord singing "I gotta go, it's been a pleasure doing business with you" and everyone breaking down a little bit as the band plays out... plus, Scared has the perfect outro for the band to keep playing as long as they want to stay on stage.
I'm willing to bet they play Fiddler's Green a few times on this tour.
Blow at high Dough would be my guess
Here we are now don't ask how
The time to leave was kind of now

Well, don't cry, baby, there's no cause for grief
Deadheading's never going to kill the chief
It's an empty road without relief
And I'm a highway romance milking thief

I'm too dumb for words
Well, I didn't think I'd like it here at all
But I swear, I swear I'm on the verge
I'm on the verge
Where all songs of one song and that song is don't forget
