Fourth album by these guys comes out on August 5.

New single was released last week: "Private School". They've gone in another direction, but not too far off from their previous album. I'm still digging it a lot. I've listened to it a couple times a day everyday for the last week. "A Little Rain" was released today, and it's even better than "Private School", in my opinion.

This is shaping up to be one of my most anticipated releases of the year. Sorry, Hip.

Love the Arkells, but I'm not really keen on Private School. Maybe it'll grow on me over time. A Little Rain is a much better song in my opinion, and should have been the first single. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.

agreed - I liked A Little Rain way more.

They are definitely heading in another direction stylistically but I still like them.

Thoughts? I didn't love their last record but this one's been an immediate hit to my ears.

Enjoying this new one too. No complaints. Hoping to catch them at Town Ballroom in Buffalo this December.
