Any takers on the pre-sale this morning? Looks like I'm spending a stupid amount of money for Canada Day at the Amp.

I was thinking of going to Toronto for Canada Day, see the show, some friends and a Jays game. Then I saw the top ticket was $150. I can't pay that on principal alone. Opting for the 7.5 hour drive and $42.50 tickets for First Avenue in Minneapolis.

I bought Canada Day as well..

Being Hip obsessed in the maritimes brought on a couple of shows every two years.

Now with this new life in Gatineau, there's a Hip show within a 5 hour radius every couple months it seems.

Never had to make these hard choices before. My better half would kill me if I forced him to travel to a 3rd Hip show in 6 months (althought a Canada Day show is appealing...).

But if they come to Ottawa for Bluesfest, I'm there!

Canada Day (tour) is killing us. I love The Hip, but love my lake and boat more, so will be passing on this...plus how many times can you see the same show @$150+pops! Great tour, but 4 shows is enough.

I might end up there too, but it'll be a closer to the time decision. I have family down there, which would make the vacation days all the more worth it.

There is a lot of section 201 and 203 avail on the Amex pre sale.. if anyones interested.

I was debating this as well as we have friends "in the area" (about a hour away) that we can stay with, however i have been told its crazy black fly seasons during this period. I know the show is indoors but camping/fishing/hiking in black fly season is tough!

Got a pair for "The Ner" show on 6/29, debating Kirkland. And I might do one of the US ones in the fall if tickets are still available and my schedule is freed up closer to the date.

But yeah, not going to touch the Canada Day ones. That's just stupid money.
