Has anyone here ever been to this venue? What's it like?

Among the Ontario shows it appears to be the most "theatre-like." I'm leaning toward going there rather than one of the bigger arena shows. But just wondering if anyone has been and has an opinion on it.

Cheers.

I've seen the Hip at that venue twice and it is top-notch. Everything about the Colosseum is great except the beer lines...lol.
thought about this one... but $300 for a room for one night ( ouch )

Caesar's hotel is ideal, elevator ride to the show but its pricey. We've also stayed at the Hilton down the street but I think its closed now. We've also stayed at the Windsor Travelodge which is a 5 minute walk from the casino and has rooms available starting at about $80 CDN. Not a 5 star hotel but the price is right.

Excellent venue, state of the art, and you can make your money back at the 3 card poker tables 8)
Thanks for the feedback, everyone.
Just bought two GA tickets for my wife and I for that exact reason - smaller theatre-like venue, NOT an arena!

It's refreshing to see some examples of Gord singing and performing normally here in 2012 on the last tour. Looks like the Gord from 2002!

When I bought it, said GA wasn't available and sent me to section J which is the actual seating area, but still in the centre. Slightly cheaper, but further back. At least I get a specific seat. Now it says that section is not available but GA is! I'm sticking with it though.
I've seen a few shows here and at Rama (the theatre there is a clone of Caesars). Never the Hip, but I've always found the sightlines pretty good and the sound to be top notch. Hope you enjoy the show!
