Hey Mav I know you are on this board
It seems like some mixed reactions from this board and their hardcore fan base
Perhaps you can pass on some messages and wishes to the band from this board
Guys Feel free to add

1) For the Heksenketel DVD why not just do a full show from ARA Markham would be insane pro shot (use Heksenketel as a bonus but we have all seen it! Give use something new)
2) Radio show great start, but why so hard done by? Why not Blond Solid or Get Back Again or a song no one has heard that was meant for the album
3) For the shows 2 sets please

On another note i would like to thank the hip for all they have done the past 20 years for me, since i first heard them when i was at camp !
You guys have been the sound track for most of my life! and what has always led me to love the hip is that fact they where the hardest working band in Canada, always coming up with creative ways to create great music!

The fact we are getting a re release right now , seems like you all are giving up ! Why not give us a new album with this or a mix of all the songs we loved in the past that were not recorded
- cookie factory
- anchor
- bumble bee

I think this is a great start but would love a little more effort for your fans that have given you all we have !

I think those songs were included because they originated in the Fully Completely sessions. Get Back Again for sure was earlier. Montreal might be, too.

Agreed especially with the bold text. I always hoped they'd release some Fully Completely era ARA tour shows (especially Markham) on either Live From The Vault or with something like this. And hands down two Hip songs that (should've) been officially recorded are Get Back Again and in my opinion, Wait So Long. Wishful thinking though.

You're right, and it makes sense we're only getting Fully Completely session stuff with the reissue.
Show them the prices that other top acts are charging. Show them several setlists from when these bands play back to back to back to back shows, so they can see how much the song/placement varies. Show them what the hip are trying to gouge their loyal Canadian fanbase for, show them how much value fans can find if they take their money elsewhere. And last but not least, show them this quote:

"We have never played the same set twice, mostly for our own sake. Boredom is death for music and the more routine a live performance gets, the more boring it can become for the band and the audience. We have always guarded against this." - Gord Sinclair, 1997

Sad to say this will be the first hip tour I'll miss in over a decade, but that is better having the same setlist screamed at me from shows at Niagara, Ottawa, Kingston and Toronto over the last couple years. Easily spent over $1000 going to those shows, Im not going to throw good money after bad when I could see 5 innovative and relevant up&coming acts for the same $.
