Right is better then left in this case.

Interesting article. So happy to know that his hearing loss hasn't ruined his music career. It actually appears to have made him a more prolific songwriter.

The Hear-It organization has posted something on their website about this topic below. This is referred to as 'sudden hearing loss'.
