While I wont be attending Kid Rock's tour I applaud and respect him standing up for the hard working fan.

Highlights are calling the entertainment industry 'garbage' and 'highway robbery.'

Kudos to KR! Not sure what to make about the scalping of tix on Stub Hub though.

Also thought that was a bit out of nowhere but appreciated the honesty.
Can't stand the guy's music, but I give him full marks for trying this. Good on him. Hopefully his experiment is a success so that other musicians can follow suit.
It is definitely highway robbery. I've paid around $100-$125 to see concerts with Brad Paisley (went as a favour for a friend and actually had a good time), Neil Young, and the Stones. Would I pay that much to go to a concert again? Nope. I think that the prices to see The Hip are outlandish. I paid a little over $75 to see them in 2007 with about 1200 people in a crappy, small hockey arena. Would I pay that much to see them again? Nope. Anything over $50 is a ripoff to see a concert. I've had some great times at music shows but, in the end, a show is a show. I've been to good shows, but I don't see the value in paying that much anymore.

I agree about the guy's music. But, I recently heard his new album and recommend 2 songs: "Rebel Soul" and "Midnight Ferry." They're decent...
imo u pretty much need to see kid rock live at least once, before you can have a valid opinion!
and i bet a lot of people(music lovers) would be fans after seeing him live
he puts on a great rock show. IF that's what you like Wink

Totally agree, Saw him a few years back and he had Lynyrd Skynyrd opening for him. Both acts were great but as good as Skynyrd was Kid Rock was that much better live. I was not sure if I would like it as much as I did, but I do agree with your above statement. I would go again and have bought a few of his CDs since the concert.
