Hi all -

I'm downloading the GD solo shows and I am quite impressed with the raw engery of the recordings. I much prefer the mixes in these shows to say, LBU for example.

Does anyone know if The Hip will be following suit and e-releasing all of their shows on the next tour? That would RULE. I hope so!

There's been speculation they might but nothing definite. I read about this thing where you can watch a concert, then go outside and pay $10 for the 2-CD set of it, recorded from soundboard and burned instantly. I thought where El Gordo was doing this more or less with his solo shows, he might try this new technology on a Hip tour. A great idea!!! And if the shows were sold on CD people would be less likely to bootleg them (the actual official bootlegs) because it'd be more like live albums than bootlegs...so there wouldn't be the worry about people just waiting for it to appear on the FTP. also people going online for the bootlegs to download them from maple music are most likely knowing about the FTPs too, but they could sell HUNDREDS of boots after every show with all the people who go that aren't part of the hipbase or whatever...
