Looks quite a bit like an Epiphone Archtop hollowbody, either a custom Royale or Broadway.
Yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon CBC's Wendy Mesley interviewed Gord D in the back room of the bar. Anyone know when that's going to air?

Great shots. I noticed that in this shot from Sunday...

... and this one from Tuesday...

... that Billy Ray seems to have an electronic way to feed lyrics to Gord (looks like a monitor near the setlist).

Anyone know if this new? A limited-time set-up to help with the new songs? Or a new way to ensure this never happens again?

Completist mentioned this the other day, but no clue if it a full time enhancement or not

Funny thi was I saw Billy's monitor and he was physically scrolling thru the song as Gord sang and I was thinking why would he need to do that...as if he doesn't know when the freak'in song ends, he could probably sing them himself ?
Then when I saw the monitor Tues night and Billy was testing it...seemed to all make sense. Not sure if its the new tunes or what, its never been done before that I have seen and I've been up front most tours and would have noticed it.

Doesn't bother me any, I couldn't remember that many tunes myself. The Q interview Gord Admitted that the producer had challenged him or TOLD him to sing more "clear' and pronounce the words better... so maybe the word-into-word mumbling/screaming on some tunes will fade away as he follows those suggestions. After hearing that I did seem to notice during the live stuff he seemed to be doing just that.

I could be wrong but I recall seeing the promter on some videos for the 09 tour. The band hauled out many rarer songs that tour and I'm sure it help give the enitre band a reference. How the heck else would GD be able to remember all the lyrics to The Dark Canuck? :thumb:
Love Chagrin Falls, one of my all time favourites. That vid from Vancouver is a great one. Each time the band re-engages the groove it gets a little more forceful/tighter/urgent. They all keep it together just like they planned it that way.

This is supposed to air tonight on The National. Apparently it's supposed to be pretty personal.

That was the most personal and candid interview I've ever seen from him, and it certainly explains some of the reasons why the album took so long to gestate. The lyrics for At Transformation, Man Machine, and The Lookahead suddenly seem that much more powerful after watching that.

Definitely makes this album all that more special and great. And puts things in perspective. Some things are more important.
