Dug the interview early this morning. Gord was asked if he tries to write 'timeless' music. He said he wrote Bobcaygeon 'a song a lot of people seem to like,' pushing one of his kid's strollers home from Baskin Robbins one day. Talk about inspiration!

been pretty good to have a "Tragically Hip-On-Shuffle" type of radio station going all day.
There isn't much to record/upload really. It's just commercial free album cuts with occasional side project stuff like Strippers Union and Gord's solo stuff. Sounds like they are playing a bit off of the Live Between Us disc and some tracks from the Live From The Vault series as well.
The only interviews I've heard so far are just quick blurbs in between songs as they run through the new album track-by-track. They don't talk about each song, just generic stuff like "what's it like working with Gavin Brown" "What's the recording process like now in a band that's been around as long as you have?" stuff like that.
Great to have on in the background while doing house chores this afternoon

They were playing some of Paul's Fix This Head album too
While I was in the car they were playing one of the Live From The Vault shows (Brussels) straight through.

I've had it on several times today in the vehicle. Heard the above mentioned and also the entire interview with the band during cuts from NFPA. Was hoping for some real raities...but not complaining....pretty cool. I don't have the Strippers Union cd or Pauls....good stuff!
and....heard some of the new stuff loudly on my stereo in my SUV.... Man Machine Poem is EPIC EPIC EPIC!!! That song was made to be CRANKED LOUDLY!!! :thumb:

I find it funny they played Little Bones twice in a row today - but different versions.
I have had my truck backed into my driveway since we got home. Tailgate open - The tragically Hip radio blaring and me sitting outside.
My neighbors are thankful this is only for four days.
And I have not listended very much to the livedownloads or live ten series so I am not sure what has publicly been released - so I am not sure today what I am hearing.
I heard a couple tunes thanking Blues Traveller. I think I have those but they could be Live Ten or something.
And now I just heard NOIS with the "got todays USA Today" "if your freaked, I'm fucked" great soundboard recording.
Were these released via The Hip or are these "Hip Vault" recordings?
I am starting to think Bonner has to start up his Hip Radio again.
