BakersBrew Wrote:So for 250 bucks as a VIP you get 19 songs? Are people going to keep defending this band? Completely unacceptable....the true greats...Springsteen, Young, etc, would never do this to their fans. But..love is blind I guess.
neil is playing 13-14 songs on his new crazy horse 2012 tour(fyi)
neil has been charging over $225 a ticket since that first csny reunion show/tour(2001?)
he is one of the worst for charging so much for his up close tickets-with no free beer and food included in the price!
comparing bruce to anyone is crazy...no one today plays for 3hours and 40minutes EXCEPT bruce
so people paid $250 as a vip for drinks and food and to be up close. let em. i personally would never spend that kind of money for a rock show, by any band, but that's just me. some people have more expendable cash than me and i prefer quantity, over being up close. i paid $85 for a upper level seat and left the show content, mostly cause i knew walking in what i was going to get, like many others here.

but neil is playing a 10 minute powder finger
and a couple other 10 + minute songs
Plus neil is a rock legend!
It's up to the fans, not the band. If $250 is too much to pay for the show The Hip put on, don't go. End of story.
But it doesn't sound like it is.
There's no use comparing what band X charges vs how long they perform vs their status as a rock legend. This is what The Hip do. Aside from the true Evening With... shows when was the last time The Hip performed a three hour or more show? Or that they really jammed like a true jam band? Little interludes in NOIS and ATHM are all they do - the rest of the songs are performed pretty close to how they were recorded.
Facts are facts. Argue with them all you want but it's pointless.
plus Neil Young beat up Chuck Norris
Nice shots, what kind of camera you pick up.
