and I was sold. The imagery just killed me.
I was hooked as soon as New Orleans... but I was also partial to I'll Believe In You. The little monologue in the middle really sold me. "...How do I explain this? I mean how do I put it into words? It's one thing or another but it's neither this or that. Actually it's a collection of things, she said, " that's it, that's it, get out!!!" ...then awesome guitar solo ensues.

Wheat Kings, Pigeon Camera, and Locked in the Trunk of the car I used to hear on the radio.
I don't know if it was one song, as much as it was the Fully Completely album in a whole. I was always a fan..liked the singles and what not. Then I was working at a club..and every night when the resident DJ came in..he would throw on Fully Completely just in the background while still closed and everyone was setting up. Been hooked ever since.
Sherpa. what an incredibly under-rated song that I absolutely love. heard it live only once.
On the other end of the spectrum, I caught one of the earliest live playings of Put it Off at the 9:30 club back in ~94 - that song is also a long tie fave.
Hooked by NOIS, but so many that kept reeling me in ... Opiated, Sherpa, Put It Off, etc ...
My first post... I'm 26 now and only really started to listen to the Hip about 2 years ago. I'd always enjoyed hearing radio hits like ABAC NOIS, Bobcaygeon, 38 y.o, and so on, but had never bothered to listen to them otherwise. I was hooked originally by Wheat Kings and Scared but one summer night I was walking home from a friends house and threw on my ipod, which I had just dumped several albums from a variety of bands onto, and the first song to come on at random was Nautical Disaster off of Live Between Us....I was hooked from the first base note and the imagery of a 'curmudgeonly lighthouse keeper'. Went to HMV the next day and bought every album Haven't looked back since.
