:what
Hey Kory,

My days of selling sealed copies of Day for Night for $15, like the one I sold to you, are long gone. Actually $950 is not as crazy as one would think, if you break it down. The last TATH (in only VG+ condition) sold for $350. There is one up on ebay now, that will probably sell for at least $350, VG+ vinyl (Played often with moderate surface wear and some moderate noise) / VG cover (Cover is well worn, usually with considerable ring wear). This record is EXTREMELY rare. So what would an unsealed Near Mint copy sell for ($400+?) and what would a Sealed copy sell for? Regarding RA. The readily available and inferior (cut from tape dubs) German pressing is going for $150+. The CDN and US STERLING pressings are better sounding and much more rare, with the CDN Limited Edition pressing most rare. Sealed copies of RA are actually more rare than sealed copies of TATH. In close to 10 years of collecting, I have only come across 2 sealed copies of RA. The OP claims to be a serious Hip collector, so money talks and BS walks :rambo:
fair enough, my response was geared more to the disbelief what hip vinyl has been going for lately

Directed at the OP and not you in any way. Yes, the Hip vinyl market has completely insane. I thought it was crazy 6 months ago, but has gone to another level. Where will it end...stay tuned Confusedhock:

This just went for $345.00

An unopened TATH? I bet someone could get it for like just $25.00 :thumb:

That was a sweet deal and a great story Dana. It proves that in this state of Hip vinyl madness, the deals are still out there, if you are creative and sometimes lucky. Interesting that you should mention your TATH find. I'm actually working on something right now that may equal what you pulled off. It's all hush hush of coarse, but I will write about it, if it pans out...should know tomorrow :thumb:
Im glad I am not to late to the Hip on Vinyl party. I have bought a few on ebay and another site and did not pay thru the ass for them as far as im concerned. But there is NO WAY, my wife would let me pay $950 for 2 records. If I did then I would have to sell them to get money for a divorce lawyer.

Just curious...what did you pay for your TATH vinyl?

I dont have TATH or LBU or FC.
2 months ago I got Road Apples for $60 off a record trading site.
then I got a 12 inch single white lable (not for sale promo) of Blow At High Dough for around $30 if I remember correctly off the same site.
Last week I got that Little Bones 12 inch vinyl with the NOIS live from the Roxy with the Killer Whale Tank rant. for a crazy amount of $130 but I figured I wanted that. I also have the EP 10 inch single of Last American Exit and 3 other songs from that album. Plus Courage 12 inch single, EP, Up To Here, Day For Night, We Are The Same. Plus a shit load of odds and ends on CDs. Box set, CD singles, Autographed In Violet Light concert T. band solo stuff autographed. Basically im collecting slowly and eventually I will probably have it all.
Not looking to sell... but how much would you be willing to pay for and autographed microphone from Gord Downie? Completely smashed and banged up from a raging performance of Fire In The Hole (2007-09-15, Charlottetown, PEI) I may add.

Not sure at all as I have no clue how much that stuff is worth, but The Tea Party has recently joined pledge music and they have stuff for sale and Jeff Martins autographed mic still in working order was about $750 I think. Only 1 availalbe too and it went fast. I went for the autographed vinyl from there soon to be recorded live double album and it was a steal at $40 , still a few left.

If your ever looking to sell that, message me and I'll pay for it $
