Hello everyone,
I suck at guitar but I am trying and someday hope to be able to play some Hip around the camp fire. I have always had a hard time finding time and learning on my own is tough and do not want to shell out big money for lessons at this point so I bought Rocksmith bundle comes with a Les Paul Jr. which is a pretty good starter. Anyway reason for post is for all newbs trying to learn guitar but are like me not into lessons so at this point it is a great tool. Advanced don't bother you will be bored...So go for it $200 bucks guitar and all and you really play and learn real guitar not this Rockband or guitar hero crap...The dream would be some Hip for DLC and who knows they did it for Rockband...It has received very good reviews from actual teachers... :music

Just checked out the trailer ... it's a great idea whose time was long overdue. Not to knock all the GH and RB fans but I could never figure out how countless hours could be thrown away tapping plastic, when for a few more bucks and a little bit of effort and persistance you could be doing the real thing.

I've done some more investigating and this has me on the verge of buying a game system and the game.

But are you not already an accomplished guitar player I have read that good players may get bored but then again Rocksmith claims it is good for all levels...did I mention my finger tips hurt :lol:

I wish I could play, but I'm not a guitarist at all.

Then I recommend it...you probably have a guitar already but if not only the XBOX 360 has the bundle with the Les Paul...I think this type of learning tool like Rocksmith will really take off and so much more will become available, plus the 360 is a great system and so is the PS3 so many other great games...my kids love the Kinect for 360...

Looks really cool, not a guitarist at all. Tried a few years ago with no luck, just never stuck. Already have a ps3, might pick this up.
