Will it ever be played live? I was hoping for it to pop up in the acoustic sets in 2009...
who here would know? and does the question warrant its own thread?
It warrants.
I doubt it. The Hip seem to do a poor job at remembering forgotten gems.
I beg to differ. They brought out Stay, The Completists, The Rules, Are We Family, Goodnight Josephine, Throwing Off Glass and The Bear to name just a few amazing rarities in 2009.

But As I Wind Down the Pines is notable for being the only Music@Work track to never be played live, to my knowledge anyway. Anyone with info about it ever being played is appreciated (hence, one of the reasons for this warranted thread!).
It's a song that appears to be about playing for one's own enjoyment, and not in front of an audience.

Would kinda ruin the point of the song, wouldn't ya think?
I've said it before and I'll say it again; The Hip need to play more deep tracks at their live shows! As much as I liked those songs when they first came out, I'm getting tired of hearing Poets and Blow at High Dough every time I go to a show!

Not really. They 'brought out' those songs for the first show, maybe the first week or two in 2009, then completely forgot about them.

I would disagree with you; I saw the three Ottawa shows near the end of the tour and got gems like Throwing Off Glass, Dark Canuck, Thompson Girl, Looking for a Place To Happen, plus a few more. I thought they did a great job of mixing up the set lists on that tour and hope they keep pulling out more "obscure" tunes for their next one.
