Stopped in at
Fifth Town Artisan Cheese Co. today in Prince Edward County. They have a new cheese on their menu called, Morning Moon. I asked if it was a Tragically Hip cheese and she replied, "Yes and no. It's more a Gord Downie cheese."
We bought a wedge of it and will sample enjoy it this evening.
That's awesome!
Speaking of Hip references, I was at the Calgary Comic Expo on the weekend. There was a cover band there called "Heroincredible" who were playing rock versions of sci-fi movie & TV theme songs in between some of the celebrity guest panels. The only time I've ever heard that word is during the bridge in "Save the Planet". It's gotta be a Hip reference.
The cheese was very good. Coupled with some locale charcuteries and wine made for a great Fathers Day dinner.
And for Heroincredible - definitely Hip. Their website also features the word "Indelible".
This calls for a picture, how come no picture.
It looked like cheese.

Yea but was it cut in a half moon shape or cresent moon or full moon? I need to know these things cause I wont be able to sleep untill I do. Plus did it have all those craters on it like the actual moon? Ya cant bring this up and not elaborate more than "It looked like cheese" after all my wife brings home some nasty shit that I think should be in the garbage but apparently its "good stuff" as she says.
P.S. Chris, what shows are you catching ? Bobcaygeon, Canada Day, Windsor, are you gonna see Gord in August at Christie Lake with Daniel Lanois?

LOL    The cheese reference sticks to the pan!
The cheese was a wedge cut from a wheel. Looked like every other wheel from the outside. Inside it was yellowish cheese. No holes, etc.
As for the shows - not hitting any at this point. Life at home and work is too busy right now.
