if that's the case, they should put it all out as a collection called "nesteggs"

I like it!

It would be interesting to see the new songs as well as approximate dates of when they were recorded. I think it would be really neat to see how long ago these tracks were produced. Dating the tracks could perhaps help alot of us "hipbbasers" in understanding Gord's themes behind the songs that DID make onto the 12 studio albums, if there in fact were specific themes.
After listening to some Daniel Lanois interviews and music, Dan should definitely be the guy to work with the Hip for the next one. The guy is a genius and a great musician, and a little eccentric and wierd which can't hurt.

The ultimate Canadian album!

They already worked with Lanois' protege Mark Howard on "Day for Night", and the result was an undisputed masterpiece. I think a Hip/Lanois collaboration would produce some amazing results. Mark Howard would likely be involved too, which would only increase the awesome-ness.
The band, minus Downie, got together last night (November 15) at the Bathouse to start playing around for the new album hopefully coming out before the end of 2011.
I can't say that there's an fact to this, because I heard it from someone else so as far I know it's only a rumour, but what I heard is that Gord Sinclair could be producing The Hip's next album - which I think would be really cool. Gord's produced some nice stuff!

Downie alluded to that during a recent interview, but it seemed like a suggestion at the time.

Thanks for clearing that up! Gordon's got a good suggestion anyway. Lol, I'd love to see it happen.
This is killing me!

I am being totally serious here. I need Hip shows to recharge my soul. I have seen dozens of other bands since my last Hip show and I still feel empty.

THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!
I find that at every show I see, I think how much more sweet it would be if it was theboys rocking out to Daredevil. Empty indeed.
Fear not mateys!

Hey folks. Paul posted a message on his Facebook page answering questions from fans about his new album. He mentioned that the Hip have been getting together regularly to write songs, and that's it's going very well so far. Finally some news!
