My god, that was one of the longest shows I've seen in a long time. On at 10:45pm, finished at 12:35am! There were two encores. Right at the end of the first encore he encouraged us to chant "Let's Play More"!

Poor Gord. The sweat was pouring off him in that sweat box. So much so that in Yellow Days, he forgot the line "swear to Johnny Cash". He made up for it by saying its okay if you sweat like Johnny Cash.

He also injured himself on the first song, and must've messed up at least 5 songs over the night! It just shows that he's human. It was also the first night with TCOM where I've seen him emerge more as the frontman he portrays with the Hip, walking around the stage, making gestures, etc.

Highlight for me was Chancellor (for Will).

I'll post some pics (not great ones), when I get them uploaded.

Thanks for the info. I'm curious how Gord injured himself. Was it a fall?

Ha! No. He caught his finger on a guitar string. He joked that he had a gusher and that the people in the front were at risk at getting sprayed with blood.

He got a band-aid, all was good. Big Grin
Any idea on the setlist?
This was the first "official" GD and TCOM show and I was curious what it would be like.
This isn't in the right order, but from my recollection. I knew I should have tried to get a copy of the setlist:

Starpainters
East Wind
Moon over Glenora
Dance & Disappearance
Hard Canadian
Drowning Machine
Yellow Days
Night is for getting
Retrace
Gone
Trick RIder
Vancouver Divorce
Chancellor
Yer Possessed
Figment
Christmastime in TO
Pascal's Submarine
11th Fret
Who by Rote

Did anybody else go? I noticed a video camera up on the balcony.

At least two Union members were there with their gear.
Nice pics TG.

Gord sure does love that "Jedi" T-shirt. Hope we get a similar set in Niagara.
