Ottawa gets tons of Hip... almost bi-hourly on the Bear, and Chez plays a ton too. The New Rock Alternative only seems to play Fully Completely tracks though...
Absolutely zilch here in milwaukee, which is kinda sad being so close to the border. The other thing that pisses me off is the constant radio play of Nickelback..the hard rock radio stations here (Lazer 103 and Rock 102.1) have actually said on air that Nickleback is the only decent rock coming out of canada :rambo: :rambo: just goes to show what idiots are running the radio and music business these days

104.9 XFM Vancouver played Courage at 11am for Remembrance Day.
To stay on topic though, it seems Vancouver radio stations have been playing less and less Hip over the last few years, or maybe I'm just listening less and less.
For some reason I was listing to fm96 today. Sometimes I get curious to see if I will hear the hip. They actually played so hard done by. To say the least I was shocked.

hock:
97.7 and Q107 sometimes will play NOIS (live killerwhale tank version)
97.7 htz fm plays hip at least 2 times a day.
Our local US station will play nois, grace, ahbc, The kingston station" THANK GOD will play anything from another midnight, on the verge, the completist. Life is good in the 1000 islands!!!
SEEYA
Winnipeg gets a ton of Hip on the radio. The "classic rock station" plays stuff up to/including DFN. The more modern rock station plays a bit of everything.
Just to add to the M@W discussion, "Freak Turbulence" also got radio play. M@W was the album that got leaked months before its release on Napster, which is why I think it got half-assed promotion. Kind of ironic though that it still debuted at #1 in Canada, while IVL didn't hi #1 (came out at #2) and sold about half as many copies (150,00 last I heard).
The edge back in the day would play fireworks every so often.
A few years back 102.1 in Toronto did an Ongoing History of New Music special on The Hip. It wasn't bad, I mean, Alan Cross is a radio God and he can make almost anything intertesting. But it was the standard stuff you're hear about The Hip, Davis Manning, jamming new songs from New Orleans, etc...but it's still a decent listen that they play whenever the Hip are in town...
I was listing to fm96 the other day. Sometimes I listen to the radio just to see if they will play the hip. So anyway they played so hard done by.

hock: To say the least I was pleasantly surprised.
I unfortunately listen to the radio a lot at work since the radio's better than nothing. At least CJAY 92 here in Calgary plays the Hip quite a bit. At least once an hour. The majority of the other stuff they play however is pure shite. Not only is it bad, but you get to hear it over and over. Man I gotta get something better than the radio at work.

Hey people! I get most of my hip listening from the radio on 106.9 The Bear out of Ottawa. They play alot of hip. They play old and new  Also when I go home also listen to 105.7 K-Rock out of Kingston. Most of the american station over here play the hip but it's once every blue moon. So thank you my friends to the north :thumb:
New radio station unearthed yesterday in Calgary. Q107 plays entire rock albums. So far I've heard the whole Fully Completly album and they just finished up with Road Apples!!
Other albums of note that I've heard on the station so far in it's two days are Neil Young - Everybody knows this is nowhere, Pink Floyd - Darkside of the moon, Led Zeppelin - IV.
I think I'm going to like this station.
That is super cool that they play the whole album :thumb:
