Night is For Getting (Not Forgotten):

Splurged one night to buy it from itunes Canada a year ago...

Should have been on In Between Evolution, or even maybe World Container...

Disappeared into near-obscurity...

Hush, another bonus track, reminded one somewhat of this other rare unplucked gem...

Then Gord and The Grand Bounce came along suddenly after us meeting The Hard Canadian with Lightfoot...

And lo and behold, NIGHT IS FOR GETTING appears 9-down on the roster...

And now we wonder how the Gord mix will differ from the Hip bonus track...

May it be longer...

("love is gratitude for being")
Hang on, where's the video?

You've been so good lately. Don't ruin it.
It's out -- even shorter than the original! (because it's faster). An "interesting," shall we say, piano part in the new version.
I adore Julie Doiron's background vocals! (loved her ever since Toronto #4). Not my favourite track on the album, but a nice surprise nonetheless. Now how about dusting off Fighter Fighter, Gord?
Old old thread, I know. I'm still look for the Hip version if anyone can hook me up?
I'm going to bump this thread in hopes someone can deliver. I used to have Night Is For Getting back when it was on iTunes, but it has since slipped through my collection. Does anyone have it?

Here is the original Night Is Forgetting (For getting?) performed by The Hip along with several other unreleased/alternate songs.

I forgot this was recorded with the Hip before it was on his solo album , The Grand Bounce. Thanks for digging it up
