Does anyone else think this is the best song on World Container?

The bass line is badass.

Love the soaring guitars on the chorus.
Great tune! Definitely one of my faves from WC.
Luv (sic) is a great song.
But I'm kind of partial to the drop off. I heard it at fort york before the album came out and it blew me away. Especially the way they used the lights to focus on gord when his little rap sessions happen (for lack of a better description). I was two rows back from the stage and it was something to see.

I was at that show, too. The Drop-Off blew me away. Made we really excited for WC. I was about ten rows back. Sounds like we both got there early!

On the album, I still take Luv (sic) as my fav.
I think there were ten people in line ahead of me for that show. The video that the hip posted of that show once the album came out, you can see my little brother getting pushed around. It was quite rowdy for a hip show. I got knocked down twice and lost my ticket stub. Best show I've seen and I have no proof.
Sad
Looking at your signature, you were at my first show. The canada day show in 04.
the beginning and verses of Luv(sic) are really similar to Love is a First, thinking back... (haven't listened to Luv(sic) since being excited about WC, a couple years ago now)... They could definitely bring it out live again... maybe in a "double-love" encore with Love is a First.

make that a 5-way love encore -
1. are you ready ("to love")
2. luv(sic)
3. last night i dreamed you didn't love me (like this one better than luv(sic))
4. love is a first
5. Flamenco ("to love!") - (Kate Fenner / Julie Doiron / Sarah Harmer / LIGHTS / Kathleen Edwards... joins Gord for the duet (a throwback to the beautiful performances of it in 2000)... I VOTE FOR LIGHTS!

(and now i'll shamelessly post a youtube video of my favorite gal)
(my camera doesn't digest bass well)

And it's the SotD! Love it.

That's funny. It's the best Hip show I've been to as well (the Fort York one) and I also don't have any proof. I bought three tickets from Maple Music (or Live Nation? I can't remember) and they only mailed me two. I was put on the VIP list...for the wrong night. After some haggling with the VIP entrance people they agreed to let me in. Amazing night.

Do you remember the ambulance needing to be let into the crowd after the show was over? Anyone ever find out what happened?
I had just gotten past the brick walls/gate that was at the front when the ambulance came in. Other than being drenched in sweat from the 32 degree day, I was fine. My brother and I walked from there back to union station to cool down. Stopped to have dinner at Lone Star at Simcoe and Front on the way. Awesome night.
YEP YEP YEP!

My second fave song on the album, just behind 'Last Night I Dreamed...'

I've been lucky enough to hear it live once too. Great song.
Probably my favourite Hip song of the last decade. Sure, it's basically a repeat of Nautical Disaster (and Mean Streak, and Trunk), but it's a very good one. Glad I got to see it played live on one of the few occasions when it happened.
definite top three.
but family band is definite no. 1.
I have to say 'last night i dreamed...' is my favourite from WC. The second 'yyyyoooouuuuu didn't love me' really does it for me
