What would be your favorite HIP cover song? I'm thinking AC/DC's Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution. Robbie prancing across the stage in shorts and white socks. I'd pay to see that!!

There are so many from the winter 2007 tour, I wish there were recordings of them all but the one's I've heard have been fantastic. Favourite that I've personally seen has to be Eddie Cochran's "C'mon Everybody".

Many of the cover tunes can be found at hipfans.com: http://hipfans.com/?p=363

And for those who want more, here are the one's from the Canadian tour earlier in the year too:

Teenage Head's Picture My Face played in Hamilton '07. It suited Gord's voice very well.

I loved the region-specific covers they did too. Such as the Replacements in Minnesota and Stompin' Tom Connors in Sudbury. I'm sure there were others too.

And the date-specific too -- the Marley cover from 4/20 in Boston ain't half bad.

p.s. "Bastards of Young" worked *really* well for them in Minneapolis.

They rocked "It's the end of the world " by REM when they were in Atlanta for WC tour
