I've been looking at the LOW website today (sort of job related) and may make a post later on the Lafarge decision. The Hip are more heavily involved in environmental issues than I thought. :thumb:

Oops. Sorry, I just took what I found on a LOW's twitter post naming the individuals.
As for the Lafarge thing, yes, I know its regarding the plant in Bath. I just found it interesting after doing some more digging, that all five of the band member's names are listed in all of the appeals to the MOE as main appellants. I read a lot of environmental appeals in my work, so it was interesting to read this one and hear their concerns.
Here's a podcast with some clips from the dinner. Downie speaks briefly at the start, then really gets going around 8:00. Nice stuff about his dad, mom and even one of his teachers, "who would arrive most days at school, with a canoe named 'Grace, Too' lashed upside down to the roof of his small car." Also: Be sure to check out his Yoda impression around 23:45.
