Got my train tickets for this one now
. Hoping that a mate of mine is going to wangle a hotel room up there for us on business as she works there occasionally, and will obviously need to on 3rd November 8) . If not - anyone any good ideas on hostels or I'd be quite happy to go halves on a hotel room?

Some decent looking hostel type places in the city centre. The Glasgow Youth hostel is looking good - close to Sauchiehall Street. Have stayed in a few of the Scottish YHA places on a cycle tour (albeit ones out in the sticks, up in the north) and they were uniformly excellent.

We're staying at:
BEST WESTERN GLASGOW CITY HOTEL

It's about 4 minutes from the venue according to Google Maps.

Looks OK. Doubt I'll be needing a plasma TV, etc though so I'll go for a bed in the youth hostel for £15

£17.50 including continental breakfast. have stopped in SYHA places before and the've been uniformly excellent.
I think my train gets in at about half 3, so we need to sort out a meet up venue - anyone any ideas? Hopefully I will have been able to say hello to some Hipbase folk in Manchester the evening before.

If there's going to be a Glasgow meet up, please post details, not sure when I'll get through from Edinburgh after work but I'll be there if I can.
Just read the posts about the start of the tour in Germany and I'm now offically very excited - full show, no support, acoustic interlude, bring it on. :jump
