Thanks....

I did not want to input too much info or drama for you all. The post was really about the band. I had written Mav several times over the last few years expressing our thanks for their entertainment and inspiration. Not much else to say. I do not how I would get through these dark times without music. At times it seems it is all I have.

Cheers...
Mooky.
Thanks for the story.

Music is life.
So very sorry for your loss. I really do hope you can meet the band to thank them for their music.
I would be satisfied knowing that they read some of the threads or emails sent in. They can look for the guy in row BB Saturday night with a big head, squinty eyes, and a courage t-shirt on. Should stick out like a sore thumb
Courage indeed!
So sorry for your loss, all the best in the future.

Thanks...I will be in the seat next to you and your wife on Saturday night. Look forward to it!

Dave
hip hip
I'm not even Canadian and feel the same way as their fellow countrymen do about them. No band has impacted me like The Hip, for so many reasons.

This music speaks to me.
Dave - all the very best and thanks for putting this out there. Enjoy.
That is so sad...in a really beautiful sort of way.
Dave, I'm a hugger, in row DD, Jeff with the camera.

Really that is the way it was. The ending was incredible. Like something movies are made out of. I won't post all the personal details but would share in a PM for anyone interested.

For the most part I seem to feel more comfortable talking to someone I never met than family and friends. They just can't relate or deal with it their own way but I am just in a different state of existence.

Thanks for the support. Appreciate it and always remember we our here because of the music.

Dave
Thanks for sharing something so private with us. I'm sure there's gonna be a few of us thinking of you on Saturday. *hugs*
Although I won't be at the show Saturday, I will be thinking of you. I will also walk proudly on Sunday at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Buffalo. In honor of your wife, I will listen to the Hip and think of both of you! So sorry for you loss.
I got this piece of paper in the mail today from a collegue in Boston - we talked about this piece of paper 5 years ago at dinner and with reading this open letter to the Tragically Hip this week - I thought it mysterious it showed up and very appropriate to share - especially with Dave:

Music is a moral law, it gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to to sadness, gaity and life to everything else. It is the essense of order and leads to all that is good, just and beautiful - of which it is the invisible but nevertheless dazzling, passionate and external form. Plato

Have a gooder on Saturday night!
