Sept 30-row ff-seats 30-32 orchestra with my best friend of 30 years. We have seen the band a few x going back to the early 90s.Oct 2-row h-seat 121 first balcony, going solo for this one and should be great for taping being on the aisle and first row.Oct 3-pit cc-seats 12-18 with another good friend who has never seen the boys.We are bringing our wives so bring lots of Hankys Gord! Still hoping for Lets Stay Engaged(hint hint),but will be happy with whatever they play.Hope to meet up with some Hipbase members for some pre show beverages.HIP RULE!
'The Hip In The Hammer' DVD was on wikipedia about six months ago. I wonder if it will be true...

I think anyone who generously offers to video the show and then generously offers to release it, should title the series of shows "The Hip in the Hammer vol.1,2, 3". Beat them to the punch.
Definitely looking forward to a pre-game on the 30th. It'll be a birthday to remember!
Suggestions for a location? Where do the meet ups in the Hammer usually happen?
Cheers,
Pat
I'll be there with my wife all three nights, rows FF, D, and BB respectively.
There are a couple of watering hole options in Jackson Square, and a some better choices a few blocks away.
A good option is Chester's:
Chester's Beers Of The World
60 King Street East
Hamilton, ON L8N 1A6, Canada

Right across the street from Hamilton Place/Convention Center is a little joint called the Honest Lawyer. Decent pub setting, good food.

That's for the more refined boardies who don't mind shelling out for imports. They have an extensive list of great imported beers from around "the world". Anyone just looking for some regular Canadian beer, try The Honest Lawyer, it's in Jackson Square which is attached to Copps, there's some other restaurants in there Toby's (I think it's still there) and Walt's Beanery. All have great food. If McD's is more your speed, there's one inside the Square right near they bay street entrance which takes you to Copps.
Nights at the Honest Lawyer (in Ottawa, London, etc) usually end up with me drinking wine out of the bottle in line at another establishment.
But then again, it'll be my birthday - maybe that's not such a bad idea.
Cheers,
Pat
I'm in row BB on Wednesday and row AA on Saturday. By far the best seats I'll have ever had. I guess I don't need to mention that I'm pretty excited for these shows!

can you bring a camera to the hamilton shows?
I thought i read somewhere there was no cameras allowed ... I would like to bring my digital camera to get some decent pics.

Bring it - as long as it isn't "pro" or larger than your head. If it's a point-and-shoot digital you're fine. If it's a DSLR you
might get denied.
The tickets almost always say no cameras or recorders - I think it's a default field that's printed. (FYI it's not on my Hamilton ticket...)
