Dropping the price by $100 for the PS3 certainly makes it an attractive buy to someone looking for a Blu-Ray player...like myself...eventually!

Sony just announced yesterday that September 1 the PS3 slim is coming out for $299
That is a great deal for a Blu-Ray player.

I will finally be getting EA NHL 09 soon (haha, I've been playing the demo for almost a year now), and I'm anxious to try out Batman Arkham Asylum. I should probably pick-up MLB 2k9 while I'm at it too, because I've been playing 2k7 since I had my oldschool X-box.

And do yourself a BIG favor and buy MLB 09 The Show instead of MLB2K9, huge difference..2k9 sucks ass compared to it.
I was never into guitar hero or rock band..but that Beatles game looks too good to pass up, i think i might go for it as well.
i just bought a 360 Elite a couple of weeks ago so I can get the best of both worlds, I have a ps3 already..love that blu-ray.
go for it bonner, ill play you hockey over xbox live, get the elite so you get the headset so we can talk smack.

I want 09 for the Canadiens Centenial Team, plus it will only cost me $20, I fucking hate paying like $60+ for a game, and then a couple months later it's down to $40. I don't even play my xbox that much, so I try not to spend much on it at all...I don't even have xbox live. I've always liked the 2k baseball over the show, I dunno, i'll probably rent them both and try them out first.
I beleive NHL 10 still has the Habs all time team in it. I've seen them in NHL 10 videos on the EA site.
MLB2k9 is ok, but has just enough wrong with it (bugs, wonky fielding, imposible stealing) that made me trade it in, despite the fact I love baseball games.... (but alas, no Show on the 360)
Batman will be $38 at Walmart and Bestbuy when it comes out the first few days.
You can adjust the base-stealing difficulty to whatever you want I'm pretty sure.

Sounds like fun - but i do not have it.
Besides some old school VC games the main thing my Wii gets used for is Guitar Hero/Rock Band.
You gotta do something while your drinkng in the basement with friends on those long, cold winter nights. And we end up having a blast.
just playin the NHL 10 demo now, what a great game, except i got drafted by Nashville in the be a pro demo, so im holding out ala Lindros.
the show is playstation only, i've been playin 2k9 it's ok except for the constant errors by the commentators
