I would like to compile a live disc of Hip songs played before they were released on CD.
these songs must have Alternate structures or lyrics and must be played in a live show.

So with that said I will start the list with a few songs from shows I taped in the past plus a few gems, Id imagine once we have compiled a list of the songs we can upload to the tracker

Wheat Kings (2 alt verses)- Bessbourough Hotel Sask.
Save the Planet (called man across the street)- some alt lyrics- Winnipeg 97
Membership- gord called this song (The River) - saskatoon 97
Escape Is at hand- Only live version with the word F*uck not bleeped, I think. saskatoon 96 - quality is lacking

Theres more but I have to go through the archives.....good start lets see where this goes

Shane
Fun idea Shane. I'll see what I can come up with.

Here is an early alternate version of NOIS - 1988 is the year, I am not sure of the date.
Also be sure to check out "The Tape": Includes early versions of Three Pistols, Another Midnight, and many more.
How about a dirty version of ABAC. God, the first time I heard that it made me laugh.

Good times...
I feel like at the Molson Park Barrie Edgefest in '03 Gord introduced You Are Everywhere as "The Ballroom" before IBE came out.

However, I do not know if the words were different, nor do I have a copy of the show.

well a little bit on the same page is the Grace version at Woodstock. I think this was the first time Gord did the intro with "we are Tragically Hip"
