As I was channel surfing one night, I stopped on HBO as an episode was beginning just to give it a quick peek....and ended up watching the whole episode. I watched the next couple episodes before I just forgot to keep up. Might revisit the series On Demand. did they cancel it? If so, I'm not going to bother.
To me, the lead character seems like a perfect parody of a "country-fried" southern redneck jock, if that makes any sense. Thought the actor did a fantastic job with that persona; though the persona seems exaggerated, some of those real-life insecure redneck types are almost exaggeration of the stereotype itself.
The writing seemed decent -- good enough to hold my interest through an episode and draw me back for another couple when I never intended on watching in the first place.
That said, I wouldn't say that it's a "must see".

And I just tried to watch it On Demand, but it is not showing here right now.
But it will be showing again in June, albeit in a wack-ass order:

We're lucky to see a second season(when we finally DO see a second season), but don't look for anything after that
