I've been waiting for another Evening with the Hip show for years. I'm looking forward to hearing The Trews live, but I'm concerned that we won't get the extended set from the boys. Anyone heard anything about what we might get?
It will probably be about the same length, just with no intermission. If anything, they will probably cut the acoustic set... probably wouldn't work as well in an arena. I would guess 22-23 songs in total.
I'm actually hoping for a lot of the new stuff, as the 2 shows I saw last year in Brockville and Kingston were greatest hits shows. I'll be happy with 22 songs and no breaks. 45 minutes of the Trews will be enough though.
they have been great so far this tour. Dont worry.

Kingston was a greatest hit show? Pigeon Camera, 38 Years Old, and On the Verge? You could also throw 50mc in as a rariety as they don't play that too much, plus an amazing version of Fiddler's. That was one of the best Hip shows I've ever been at.
If I hear Pigeon Camera, 38 Years Old, On the Verge, and Fifty Mission Cap, I'll go home a VERY happy man. Safe trip to the venue, everyone!

I did hear almost the exact same set 2 nights before the kingston show in Brockville. Not complaining, just like to hear some I didn't expect, plus I didn't get to too many shows before a few years ago.

Interesting... I wonder if this means they will be doing 2 sets all shows this year (even ones with an opener or festivals).
I predict 38 Years Old will show up in the acoustic set tonight.

So, How was the Kingston show last night?? I have to wait until LA to see them, and am so anxious, I love the new stuff!! Was it a good mix?
Oh, and I did not think the Kingston show last Feb. was greatest hits, just one of their greatest shows.
