I thought there was talk of a second video from Battle of the Nudes... to the tune of 11th Fret... any idea what happened to that?
Apparently a video was shot the night before Gord performed solo at the white ribbon benefit (later performed at the rivoli that night)- It was shot at the rivoli - no idea why it hasnt been released yet or if it will be released at all...
yea, if the video is already been shot what problems could exist in why it hasn't it been released ? normally i'd be inclined to say record label mumbo jumbo... but that wouldn't seem to apply in gord's case. maybe MuchMoreMusic wouldn't play it ?? (don't want to start conspiracy theories)
If the video was shot, which I assume it was, why waste financial resources for no purpose... you'd expect them to at least put it on Gords solo website... I imagine it is too late now as the promotional time frame for Battle of the Nudes has long since expired... but here's hoping, I loved Pascal's Submarine...

I'm itching to see the new 11th Fret video because as soon as I see it, my plan is to rip it and upload it. I've also found a few programs that rip live Net streams, so I'm also going to try to capture the Chancellor video off the Net and upload that.
Recently I got a very powerful new computer, which explains all the ripping and uploading of mpgs I've been doing lately. I've tried to rip all of the small/medium video clips I have, but there are a couple more I have to do. The rest of my VHS footage is made up of complete shows, so they would make for very large mpgs. I'll try and rip some of those and upload them but it is quite the process (Woodstock took 24 hours to upload) so I might take a little break from the mpgs.
I've got over 100 audios on cassette tape that I would like to transfer, so I think that will to be my next project; encoding them into wavs and spreading shows that haven't been spread yet.

That is SUCH a good video. I'm glad they showed the story of the song rather than putting a different perspective to it - And Gord's great in it ...when he's driving in the car...*sigh*...well let's just say my crush for him came right back :oops: Is the asian looking girl his wife or just an actor? anyone know?
I think Bob Caygeon's my all time favourite Hip song ...I still get tingles when I listen to the "that night in toronto, with the checkerboard floors..." verse. If a song gives still gives you goosebumps after the 500th time then u know it's a good song :thumb:
The asian girl isn't Gords wife... I am pretty sure I saw her at Gords solo show at the Ottawa Bluesfest in July. He was with a blonde woman and a couple of little girls and he came on stage and mumbled something about how he spent the whole day with his family. I know his little girl came running on to the stage after his set.
