Im off to Kentucky today for 5 days. I got all my Hip CD's and plan on cranking it up and letting the music out into the Kentucky air. Hopefully we can convert even 1 person. Chow for now guys.
I've already tried that countless times. Doesn't seem to take.
You stand a better chance of becoming a disciple of bluegrass than making those folk disciples of The Hip.
Where are you going in the Commonwealth? Better yet, WHY are you going to the Commonwealth?
KY is actually a beautiful state, with good peeps. There are some poor, poor, backwoods areas with some dumpy hollers (eastern KY), but those regions are beautiful landscapes. Central KY (Lexington, etc.) is also beautiful countryside, big horse farms, rolling meadows, etc. Lexington is a real nice town.
Stayed at Louisville Thrusday to this morning. Now in Lexington.
P.S. bud, I went on 3 Buorbon distillary tours today and taste tested 8 different kinds of drink. Ended up buying about 6 bottles and now that the day is almost over im so sick of Buorbon. hehehe
Yea we have adopted Kentucky as our "OTHER" home.
We dont go to the east much at all. We tend to like the west and central. Bowling Green, Cave City, Louisville, Lexington kinda area. We went to Knoxville once and wholly crap was that place dirty and disgusting and just plain dangerous feeling.
But ya were sitting in our hotel room drinking energy drinks to wake us up from the booze today.
Mabey going to go to the races tomorrow at Lexington horse race place.
If you want to take a day and enjoy some unique natural beauty, head over to Daniel Boone National Forest, particularly the Red River Gorge geologic area and the Natural Bridge State Park (all in the same general area, less than one hour east of Lexington). Very beautiful area, very distinct (geologically) compared to most of the midwest. Lots of rocky cliffs, outcrops, natural arches and rock bridges.
My favorite area of wilderness in this entire region of the country, hands down. Great trails, many climbing areas, etc.
That sounds very interesting. Thanks for that info.
We came to Bardstown today and got the best hotel room we have ever stayed in. Probably gonna make this headquarters and venture out from here.
Are you in Kentucky?
sounds like a good trip !
i was in Paducah a few weeks back , partying with friends
...moonshine out of a mason jar... :what
Yup we ended up in downtown Cincinnati. Pretty good place. Stayed at the Hyatt.
