The only positive I can take out of the list is that The Hip are #2 group? Neil Young should be higher and KD Lang should be lower and Avril should not be that high yet.
On top of that Corey Hart fiasco... Avril Lavigne does not deserve to be number 7. And I'm pretty upset to see Rush didn't make the top 20... I know a lot Hip fans can't dig their music, but they are definitely a lot more talented and had a much larger impact in terms of airplay and record sales then Nickelback... who thank god fell behind the Hip or I would have shot myself...
I don't know who created this "top 20" list but Neil Young should we in the top 10 no matter what... and why is Nelly Furtado even on the chart... she had, what, two singles...?
At least Sum 41 didnt' make it... that would be the end of Canadian Music...
In case you are all upset by the Hips ranking, a recent AOL Canada survery placed the Hip at Number 1... that made me smile...

Yeah I happened to watch it also.
I was honestly expecting the Hip to be number 1.
I was quite disgusted that Avril was above the hip. What the Fu.k? :rambo:
I think that they where looking at sales but please this shouldn't matter!
They should have been at least in the top 5. :roll:
Obviously when they were compiling this list, especially the top 10, they were looking at impact in the states...between Nickelback, Avril, Nelly and Alanis they don't have half the solid singles the hip have put together. You have one decent record in the states and suddenly you are a recording genius.

I am not suprised. Over the years, the hip are always forgotten. Unless the Hip are in Toronto doing a concert or stopping by that crappy studio, they get no respect.

Blue Rodeo that low on the list?! Man...they're not my fave band, and I can think of many problems with that list, but they and the Hip should be in the top 5 along with Neil Young.

They don't even have Bruce Cockburn or The Guess Who on that list and they have sold more albums than nelly, Corey and probably Nickelback combined...sheeesh
