Does anybody have any rumours as to what the August 2 show will be? Trying to decide whether I should make a road trip out of it, but it's the August long weekend and it may be a better move to just head up to the cottage and make the trip to Bala for SRB's Sunday show...
I am thinking of starting a new topic and seeing who if anyone wants to get a Hipbase road trip going. Seeing The Hip while drinking a few beers with the hot sand under your feet and beautiful sunset. what could be better?
On the beach in Wasaga a couple of years back was one of the best all around events

It was easily my favorite location and the atmosphere at the beach that day was electric. I'm hoping to have a similar experience at the Waterfront. Sam Roberts - Friday The Hip - Saturday, all at the beach sounds perfect to me!!

Looking forward to this one. Should be good. Saw them open the tour at the Danforth Music Hall so I'm stoked!! The Bay used to hold the heritage festival at the waterfront so my guess is the concert will be in the same location? Saw Stoppin Tom there a few years back. Anyway the setting should be good.
Glad to see another from Newmarket is making the trip up.

Caravan?
We haven't confirmed our plans yet but I think we're heading north a few days sooner to visit family.

Looking forward to this show. Haven't seen them since the Danforth.

Actually since London ... Here's hoping for some gems.
so painful....watching the stage get set up on wednesday (as I rode the mini-train and the carousels with my children, knowing that I was heading home on thursday...the waterfront is amazing, and looks like a great place to see the band. I so wanted to see them in my original hometown! Hope the crowd is better than London's was!
Well if Sam Robert was any indication as to the Hip performance tomorrow night I can safely say it will be better than London!!
It's been awhile since they played the Bay. The last NB show I saw was at Memorial Gardens on the winter DFN tour.

A gem from DFN or TATH would be cool to hear. Maybe So Hard Done By?

Enjoy the show folks!
Hey Peeps.. down from Timmins... this is just like my back yard... compared to some of my HIP jaunts.... syracuse, rochester, Montreal... Belleville... TO.....

Can't wait to see the Boys rock the bay.....

Can I get a hip.....hip....hip.....hip....
In London the rain stopped early. Let's hope it holds off until AFTER the show tonight.
