Interesting match. A year ago I would have been all over 3 Pistols. Heard it on the radio the other day, and the shivers down my back just weren't there.
I think it's hard for me as a non-Canadian to get the Tom Thompson stuff. It's a great song, but some of the imagery is missed on me. Daredevil keeps getting better every time I listen to it, though, so it gets my vote.
With Fiddlers falling this week I am nervous that two of my final four will be ousted...
Daredevil's a great song, yet my vote went to Three Pistols. I am a Road Apples freak what can I say.
My final four would have been Grace, Too Last of The Unplucked Gems, Three Pistols & Fiddles Green.

Three Pistols definetly gets my vote, that intro and Gord's "Alright!" are so perfect.
pistols never gets old - i was actually turned on to it by their performance of it on the That night in Toronto dvd. great stuff.
