Will Hip have Lighting Rig on US Tour?
MAv or anyone know I Hip are bringing their lights with them on the US leg? The last 2 times they haven’t and the last show they used the house lights. Ive seen the Hip over 10 times so Ive seen both with and without the lights. And while it was cool to see them “raw” without the lights they do add a lot of value to the shows. Plus tickets are $45!!!! That’s a lot considering the venue.
So anyone know?
Love the new album. So cant wait for the show. My show (Phila) is the first of the US leg. Usually thats when they work the bugs out

Yep Yep...both nights. Can't wait for these shows!! Never been so stoked about going to see the Hip.... These shows are going to be amazing....
GA mainfloor both nights. Second night I have to play over at Masonic (one band Im in is the house band for the Detroit Roller Girls) until about 8...so I will miss the first few songs :nooooo

The backdrop lighting rig they are using looks quite portable, so I'd imagine it will make the trek to all venues with them. Beyond the lighting gear that's actually on the stage, I haven't noticed anything "installed" into the venues so far.

Im not going to the DET shows, I live in Philly. But my cousin is a ref in one of the roller derby leagues in MI.
For the WC tour, they used an awesome projection backdrop for the three Canada shows I saw; where as the 3 shows I saw in The States was just a fabric backdrop. The lighting was still rather kickass though...

ha funny small world..the roller derby is a weird and fun world. Hip usually do really well here..gonna be fun!
