I still can't believe how much Gord's voice changed between Road Apples and Fully Completely. He almost sounds like a different person. I admit I like the new Gord better than the old Gord - less twang (not a big fan of twang, unless it comes out of a Telecaster).
This was a tough matchup. Fully Completely is a great song, rocks like granite, but the lyrics to Fiddler's Green are incredible. Notch one up for the twangy Gord.

FG is great but I HAVE to give this one to FC as I have seen it live a few times and I love the TNIT version! When I think the hip, I think GD ranting and raving, kick ass musical variations in the middle of the song!

It's a popularity contest. It's more popular because more people think it is better "quality".

Fully's just a better song, I don't think Fiddler's would be held in such high esteem had the Hip not abstained from playing it for so long. Still a great song, but Fully's better.
Wow! I'm shocked. Both songs are great, and definitely potential hall-of-fame-ers.
