My god what a weekend. Went to the Tapout party on Friday night, somehow landed a VIP section near the Tapout/UFC VIP sections. Got the Tapout guys to sign my shirt. The fights were junk for the most part. Felt bad for Chuck. The Silva fight was all BS. People were leaving after the 3rd round. Get back to the hotel and hang out in the lobby waiting for fighters. 5 a.m Chuck comes walking in, most fans had left at this point. I said Chuck, I've got your book up in my room, if I go get it will you sign it? He goes I don't have time to wait now, but if you come to the club (Sunday night) I'll sign it. I said damn,I'm leaving (sunday morning), he walks over to me and whispers his hotel suite # to me, and says meet me there in 10 minutes. We end up getting on the elevator with him, made small chat about the fight. Got off on my floor and grabbed the book. Knocked on his door and some douche answers saying "sorry, you must have the wrong room." Then the manager goes it's ok, chuck invited them. He came out from one of the bedrooms and signed the book and program for me, then asked where I was from. I said the Toronto area, he said he loved Toronto and gave me his email address saying keep in touch.

I still can't believe it. None of the headliners were around all weekend, so that makes you think they're all snobs. Not this guy. He's the most down to earth fighter in the sport. Even after the career ending loss, he had the class to walk right in the front door of the hotel.
